Diesel cars, as you probably know, do not use spark plugs. Instead the engine is powered by compressing the air in the cylinder, causing the air to heat up. The atomized fuel is then injected in
1. Low Fuel Pressure. Typical Fuel Pump. If your Ka isn’t getting enough fuel, or any fuel at all, it may have a bad fuel filter or a bad fuel pump . Without the proper amount of fuel entering the combustion chamber, the Ka will crank but not start. 2. Ignition Issues.
To verify this, remove the fuel pump relay. Take it inside and warm it to room temperature. Do not use methods that would melt the relay. Reinstall it while it is still cold outside, and start the engine. If the engine starts, replace the relay when the relay is warmed.
A car not starting after replacing fuel injectors could be due to a malfunctioning new fuel injector, improper installation of fuel injector, damaged o-rings of fuel injectors, disconnected harness connector of fuel injectors, fouled spark plugs, or a disconnected throttle body. After replacement, make sure the new fuel injector works properly.
1. DASH LIGHTS. The dashboard warning lights come on when you try to turn on your car, but the engine does not crank or spin over. This is a classic sign of a bad starter. 2. CLICKING. If you experience the dreaded “clicking” noise when you try to turn the key, this is a good sign of starter failure.
