The spring of 2017 is a long way off. Things change. For example, I read in the latest BIKE that KTM is coming out with a long travel 1290 with a proper 18/21 inch wheel set like the AT and the old KTM990. That should say something all by itself. Meanwhile they are also introducing a 1090 version that is more tarmac oriented.
